Start with a city tour of Geneva, with its beautiful lakeside parks, unique town hall and European seat of the UN. A late morning drive takes you past the Château de Chillon, Lausanne and Montreux. Travel through the Valais, the valley of the River Rhône with its orchards and vineyards. A cogwheel train will transport you from Täsch to the renowned car-free resort Zermatt, at the foot of the mighty Matterhorn. Dinner at your hotel is included.
A morning at leisure in Zermatt gives you plenty of time to relax, explore or venture up to Gornergrat for some of the most spectacular views of the Matterhorn you will ever see. After an early lunch, your comfortable coach will take you over the breath-taking Nufenen Pass to Lugano, in Italian speaking Ticino. Your evening is at leisure, discovering the garden city with its Mediterranean flair.
Upon leaving Lugano you cross the border into Italy, for a jaunt along the romantic shores of Lake Como before entering Switzerland at Castasegna. The stunning beauty of the landscapes seen from your seat becomes even more awe inspiring as you wind along the Maloja Pass, as the ice blue Lake Silvaplana guides you into the exclusive St. Moritz. Your late afternoon arrival gives you plenty of time to wander the town before dinner.
Your morning journey whisks you from St. Moritz to Davos, crossing the Flüela Pass, before continuing to the capital of the Principality of Liechtenstein. In Vaduz, famous for its mighty castle overlooking the city, there is plenty of time for lunch and sightseeing. Continue in the afternoon to Zürich, via the picturesque Toggenburg region. Departure.
